Warranty Information - USA

Standard Warranty Conditions

The trolley and charger are covered by a 24-month warranty from the date of purchase. The warranty covers manufacturing defects that occur during normal use. Any breakage caused by accidental damage or as a result of abuse or misuse (as set out in the relevant manual) or commercial use is not covered. Motocaddy batteries are covered by a separate warranty (12-month Lead-acid / 24 month Lithium) and can be registered online using our Battery Warranty Registration form.

The standard Motocaddy warranty only covers purchases made in the United States and the use of the trolley, battery, and charger in the United States. If you encounter a problem with your trolley, battery, or charger within the warranty period, please contact the place of purchase or call us direct on 412-567-4390 to allow us to rectify the problem as soon as possible. In the unlikely event you need to make a claim you must provide your proof of purchase so please ensure this is retained.

If we diagnose that you require a spare part, we will send it to you by first class post with easy-to-follow fitting instructions. Failing which we will collect, repair (if possible), and return the faulty product (or its replacement) at our cost (in the case of a faulty trolley, this must be in its original packaging). If the fault is not covered by these warranty conditions, you will be liable for the courier and admin charges plus the costs of parts and labor. A repair will normally be carried out but in the unlikely event that the trolley, battery, or charger cannot be fixed, a replacement will be given. Any repairs or replacements made without charge do not carry a new warranty beyond that of the original purchase.

The warranties contained herein are offered as an extra benefit and do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. These warranties are non-transferrable.

 

Motocaddy Lithium Warranty (valid for sales from 01/01/17)

The Motocaddy Lithium battery and charger are both covered by a full 24-month warranty from the date of purchase. In addition to the standard 24-month warranty, Motocaddy now offers a 5-year warranty (additional 3-years) on the battery (this excludes the charger). Both the standard and 5-year warranties only cover purchases made in the United States, for use in the United States.

In order to qualify for the 5-year warranty (additional 3-years) the battery must be registered online using the relevant Warranty Registration form within 45 days of purchase.

The warranty covers manufacturing defects that occur during normal use. Any breakage caused by accidental damage or as a result of abuse or misuse or commercial use is not covered. Motocaddy warrants that all LiFePO4 Lithium batteries will retain 75% of the original rated capacity (Wh).

Any repairs or replacements made without charge do not carry a new warranty beyond that of the original purchase. The warranties contained herein are offered as an extra benefit and do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. We reserve the right to request proof of purchase. We also reserve the right depending on location to charge for shipping on any new replacement battery and this will be at our discretion at the time of replacement.

Motocaddy Lithium Batteries are subject to the standard Motocaddy warranty terms & conditions.

 

Motocaddy Accessories & Bag Warranty

Motocaddy Accessories and Bags are covered by a 12-month warranty from the date of purchase. The warranty covers manufacturing defects that occur during normal use. Any breakage caused by accidental damage or as a result of abuse, misuse, or commercial use is not covered.

The standard Motocaddy warranty only covers purchases made in the United States and use within the United States. If you encounter a problem within the warranty period, please contact the place of purchase or call us direct to allow us to rectify the problem as soon as possible. In the unlikely event you need to make a claim you must provide your proof of purchase so please ensure this is retained. Any repairs or replacements made without charge do not carry a new warranty beyond that of the original purchase.

 

Returns Policy

If you are not satisfied with your Motocaddy purchase (from www.bighorngolfer.com in the US), the order (or part of order) can be returned within 30 days of receipt, unused and in its original packaging with your completed returns form for a refund. Please quote your order number, name and address on all correspondence. On receipt of the goods, if in an unused and saleable condition Motocaddy will give you a full refund of the amount paid. This does not affect your statutory rights.

 

Cancellations

The Consumer Contracts Regulations allow you to examine the goods you have ordered. This allows you to take it out of packaging if necessary, but not use the product. If you wish to cancel your order this must be done within 14 days after receipt and must be returned in its original packaging in a saleable condition.

If you exercise your right to cancel your order after the goods have been despatched, you will be responsible for returning the goods to Motocaddy at your own risk and cost.

Any items with signs of wear or use may not be refunded and may be returned to you. After receipt of the goods, we will refund your money in a maximum of 30 days.

To cancel, you must inform us in writing (email or letter), a phone call is not acceptable.

 

By Post or Courier

All return postage costs are non-refundable and Motocaddy does not offer free returns for incorrect or unwanted orders, unless we have made an error. If returning the item via post or courier we recommend that you send items either signed for or recorded delivery, so the item can be tracked. Motocaddy will not be held responsible for any missing parcels on the customer’s behalf.

In the event that we do not receive your returned goods, we will ask you to provide the proof of posting from your Post Office or applicable returns service location. We reserve the right to refuse a refund if you are unable to provide the certificate of posting, or have not followed the recommended returns instructions.

If you have received an incorrect, faulty or damaged item, please contact our Customer Service Team via email (returns@bighorngolfer.com) before returning.

 

Refunds

All refunds will be issued to the original method of payment and in the original tender currency within 14 days of receiving the order back from the customer.

 

Faulty Items

Please refer to the Motocaddy warranty page (click here) for further information on your warranty length and terms. If an item is delivered faulty or develops a fault through normal use please contact our Customer Service team for advice.

 

For purchases under 30 days

We may organise to collect and inspect the item at our expense. If a manufacturing fault is found, a like for like replacement will be issued if possible.

 

For purchases over 30 days

Motocaddy will either diagnose a fault and send out a replacement part that can be fitted, will advise of a local Service Agent, or will organise to collect and inspect the product.

The item will be inspected and, at our discretion, repair, replace, offer a like for like replacement, or we may return the faulty item if we feel there has been no manufacturing fault.

If the problem has been caused by accidental damage or is not a manufacturing fault, we may offer to repair the faulty item at a cost to you, but we would provide a quote for the work first.
