LagMaster Sports is the work of Mike Dickson, a PGA Master Professional and a Golf Magazine Top 100 instructor. That matters more than it might sound, because it shows in the products. Each one targets a specific fault Dickson sees repeatedly on the lesson tee, and none of them ask you to interpret a reading or watch a screen. The LagMaster: Feedback on the Trail Shoulder
The flagship is a clamp-on device that fits to the butt end of your grip, with a sphere that sits against your trail shoulder at the top. Hold the sphere there for the first moment of the downswing and the sequence sorts itself out: the arms stay passive, the club stays on plane, and the wrists release when they should rather than from the top. Cast the club or come over the top and you feel it leave the shoulder immediately. It is height adjustable, works for left and right handed players, and the manufacturer specifies practice swings only with a mid iron, so treat it as a rehearsal tool rather than something to hit balls with.
The RockShot Pressure Plate
Where the LagMaster works on the arms and the club, the RockShot works from the ground. It gives you feedback on pressure and weight shift through the swing, which is where a great many sequencing problems actually begin. A golfer who never moves into the lead side will fight low point forever, and this makes that shift something you can feel underfoot rather than something you hope is happening.
The PopUp Plane
The PopUp Plane is the visual member of the family, giving you a physical reference for the swing plane so an over the top move becomes obvious rather than theoretical. It sets up and packs down quickly, which is what makes it practical for a garage or a lesson bay rather than a permanent installation.
The LagBag and the Mini Practice Club
The LagBag is LagMaster's take on the impact bag, a straightforward way to feel a proper delivery position with the hands ahead and the body turning through. The Mini Practice Club solves the other common problem, which is space. It is short enough to swing indoors without redecorating, so the work continues through winter, in an office, or in any room with an ordinary ceiling.
