What is the Best Electric Golf Push Cart in 2023? Read & we'll give you our picks!
The right electric golf push cart can help you traverse the hills with ease and remain hands-free while you walk the course. But what is the best electric golf push cart in 2023? We've got some great picks for you in this article...The Buck Stops Here!!!
Explore Carts with Remote, Follow Mode, & More!
Here at Big Horn Golfer, we know a thing or two about electric push carts. Read on so you can decide which is the best cart for what you need. We will be able to answer any questions you have. Are you on a budget? Do you need or want a remote-operated cart? Is the following mode option for you? We have that all covered.
Why You Need the Best Electric Push Golf Cart!
We find that most avid golfers enjoy the game more when they walk. I know that I certainly do. After I purchased my first electric push cart I immediately decided that it was the best golf purchase I have ever made. It truly is like having your own personal caddy on the golf course. The cart does all of the work for you, it's impressive. It's so much easier to focus on your game as you walk down the fairway to your ball. You spend more time preparing for your next shot as you walk to your ball. Whereas in a cart you drive to you or your partner's ball & likely lose the train of thought for your next shot.
Maneuverability & Stability
All of the brands we sell have good to great maneuverability. The cart I use has a fixed front wheel. Initially, I was concerned that it would have limited maneuverability but I was wrong. It turns & navigates the course just fine. Carts with a 360-degree turn wheel in the front do turn better but I wouldn't call it an absolute must-have. They tend to work better in higher wet grass in the morning for your Sunday tee time. The 360-degree wheel(s) allows the cart to turn on a dime & navigate thru tight spaces easier.
The electric golf push carts sold at Big Horn Golfer are all made of high quality & premium materials. We don't sell JUNK! These carts are built to last & withstand all of the elements you'll play in on the golf course (I wouldn't recommend driving it into the pond)! If it rains on you it's not a big deal because most carts are water-resistant they just aren't fully waterproof.
Size & Weight
Generally speaking, most carts weigh between 30-45 pounds. They are light enough for you to grab out of your trunk & set up in the parking lot. This will be the hardest work you'll have to do with the cart! You'll add a few pounds when you let your cart carry around a 6 pack for you (IC Light in my cooler)! They all come in the approximate size of a typical push cart.
The battery life depends on the terrain of your course. If it's hilly it won't last as long as a flat course but rest assured that it will at a minimum get you around 18 holes of golf! Here in Western PA, we typically play on hilly courses so a battery here will not last as long as those who play on flat courses. The battery will definitely last 18 holes & likely longer. Some of our products have a larger battery option (which will get you 36 + holes).
We only sell high-quality brands. Again, if you're looking for cheap junk then you've come to the wrong place! The carts we sell are the most popular on the market. Everything we sell here we stand behind. Big Horn Golfer will take care of any issues that may arise with your cart. We're always here to help answer questions. If we don't have the answer, we will be sure to get the answer you need directly from the brand.
Different features that you may not have thought about:
- Seat. A seat is a great thing to have. Especially on a hot summer day! Take a break while you're cheering on your Nassau partner to make that winning putt!
- Cooler. Some of our carts have coolers built into the cart. Perfect for an ice-cold 6 pack (again, I keep IC Light stocked in mine)!
- Storage - You'll find that different carts have different storage options & compartments.
- Phone Holder. Most carts have a phone holder. It's quite convenient!
- Scorecard Holder
- Ball/Tee Holder
- USB outlet
- Umbrella holder
It's definitely an investment. I'm certain it'll be some of the best money you've ever spent on golf. I know it was for me! You'll be looking at spending anywhere from $599 to $3,000+. It's all in what you are looking for. The cheaper models will not have a remote & you'll have to operate the electric golf push cart on the handlebar. The midrange models will have a remote & you can drive the cart ahead of you, beside you, or wherever you want. I prefer to keep mine beside me so I can listen to music. The higher-end models have a follow option in which you still use a remote but you don't have to guide it...it's incredible. You walk, and it follows... It's all personal preference in what you want out of the cart. While I recommend all 3 options, I definitely love the remote and/or follow option carts! The best budget option for an electric push cart will definitely be the cart you have to control from the handlebar. The premium option will be a cart with the following option because it's just like having a caddie!

Now Let's Talk About The Best Electric Golf Push Cart...The Cadillacs of the Electric Push Cart World
These 2 different carts are AWESOME! Let us help explain the difference between the X10 & the Q Models. The main difference is the size of the cart. The X10 has a larger frame than the Q Model. This means if you play an extremely hilly course then X10 will offer a lower center of gravity reducing the likelihood of a tip over. I will say that the likelihood of tipping over the Q is low unless you have it on a very steep bank, drive it into a bunker, or into a pond. However, I wouldn't worry much about tipping it over unless you find yourself in one of the preceding situations! Both models come in a remote version & a follow-mode option. The follow-mode option is the best of both worlds when it comes to remotely operated push carts. You have a caddie that you don't have to tip! They fold up compactly so that you can transport them easily back and forth to the course in your trunk.
You May Have Asked How The Follow Mode Works?
Mounted just inside each rear wheel, two red-follow antennas work together to create two zones around the Stewart Follow Mode compatible cart; a neutral zone and an active zone.
When the handset is inside the neutral zone (approximately 1m from the golf cart), the Stewart Follow Cart will remain stationary. As the handset enters the active zone (1-3m away), the Stewart Follow Mode Carts electronics system will automatically & independently alter the speed of each rear motor to keep its pace. When the golfer (and therefore the handset) come to a stop, the Stewart Follow Mode Cart will continue until the handset is back inside the neutral zone when it will also stop. The effect is that of the digital elastic band, which stretches and contracts as you walk.
Can I set walking speeds? Yes, You are able to program your own walking speeds into the numbered buttons on the handset.
Can I use the Q Follow without the handset? The Stewart Follow Mode can only be operated via the handset (unless the wheels are in freewheel).
